2019 A Heart For Heath Blood Drive
We have a confirmed date for our 1st Annual A Heart For Heath Blood Drive with the American Red Cross for Friday, September 27th, 2019 from 1-5PM at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Wisconsin Dells, WI. More information soon!
Giving blood is safe, simple and helps save lives. Each pint of blood that is donated may be helping as many as three people. The American Red Cross is the largest single provider of blood in the country. They provide blood to 3,000 hospitals across the country. About 38,000 people need blood each day in the United States. Those people count on volunteer donors to give them a chance at life.
During our son Heath’s 217 day hospital stay in 2018, he used A LOT of donated blood; two times on ECMO, having had a Berlin Heart (LVAD), undergoing a Heart Transplant and to help him thru many surgeries and times his body just needed blood. We are so thankful to the people who donated blood so he could survive! We cant wait to give back!
If you would be interested in donating blood or volunteering to help, please add your name below with your phone number (your information is safe and not public). Thank you in advance for helping to save lives!
*If you are at least 17 years old (16 years old with a signed Red Cross parental/guardian consent form where state permits), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in good health, you may be eligible to give blood.
